- Mike Fitzpatrick's “Reality Check” column originally was published in the Wisconsin InStep for four years prior to the paper's untimely folding in December, 2003. The column's "queer take" on LGBT news of national and state interest was one of the paper's most widely quoted features. Mike's news writing and other editorial work has appeared over the years in Wisconsin IN Step, the Wisconsin Light and Quest, where he served as news editor from 2003 - 2011.
