Mike Fitzpatrick's “Reality Check” column originally was published in the Wisconsin InStep for four years prior to the paper's untimely folding in December, 2003. The column's "queer take" on LGBT news of national and state interest was one of the paper's most widely quoted features. Mike's work has appeared over the years in Ron Geiman's original IN Step, The Wisconsin Light, and currently can be found in Quest, where he serves as news editor.
